Thanks
Thanks for the great season! When the weather got warmer the bottom of the track fell out and we decided to stop grooming. Also we are switching gears and are trying to let the field melt out for baseball practice. With one year of grooming under our belt, I hope that next year we can start to groom earlier in the season and have lighted skiing ready to go for December and January. Thanks to all the groomers, the City of Victor, and TVTAP.

High Winds
Due to high winds that have been forecast to persist through Tuesday night the track will not be getting its usually Tuesday grooming. On the bright side, high winds are bringing a high pressure to the valley that should make for good conditions just in time for Thursday's Skate and BBQ, 7:30PM.

Help Spread the Word!
Informal gathering on the track next Thursday night (3/12) @ 7:30pm. We'll have a grill going with some brauts. I'm hoping we can get 20-30 people out there for some night skiing. Please help spread the word.
Friday Groom
All is groomed. Due to the new snow fall and that we don't have markers on the east loop/south loop, I tried my best to stay on the old track. Especially on the East loop you might find it soft, but the ball diamonds are looking great
Thursday night Groom
Got in a few laps around the track. It was snowing really hard, so it is most likely covered up. I'll groom later this morning. Lights are now being turned on! Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Soggy Corduroy
The track was groomed on Monday in the afternoon. It was skiing ok but definitely needs to firm up a little.

Friday Pictures
After grooming I skied some laps on the fresh corduroy. I brought my camera with me and started shooting like I was the paparazzi. There where a lot of skiers enjoying the nice sunny afternoon.

Groomed 3:OO PM Tuesday
The track was groomed early this afternoon. It is a little mushy as a result of the warm air, but as the temperature drops it should firm just in time for a late afternoon ski. Get a skate in while you can, because it looks like some more moisture is on its way.

Not Your Grandpa's Corduroy
The track was groomed late Tuesday afternoon shortly after the snow subsided. Unless we get significant snowfall it should be in excellent skating condition. Have Fun.

New Loop!
Hello everyone. Sorry for the late post. The track was groomed on Monday, February 9 in the afternoon. I also roughed in an east loop and smoothed out that wretched rocky bump on the east side of the parking area. a skier hit the east loop while I was grooming and said it was skiing well minus the sagebrush dodging. Happy skating! Here is a ROUGH map of the track...

Grooming Update
I received the Grooming 101 training yesterday and groomed the North and South. The track was in pretty good shape to begin with so it didn't take much.

Lights Update
We are still moving forward. The hope is to have lights Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5-9pm. The city is currently pricing out the cost to put the lights on an auto timer and seeing if only one light can be turned on versus all of them. Stay tuned

The North side (ball diamonds) are skiing fantastic! We have a hard base and good tracks. The South side was put in a few days ago by our star groomer Troy and triples the number of kilometers we have in the park. Once we clear out a few sage branches poking up it will be great. If anyone who skis out there has some time and a pair of hedge clippers.....

Troy gave me the beta on the groomer today (Friday 2/6). I groomed both loops at 11am. The track looks good. What does anyone think about night races? I don't know if any of you raced the night circuit at Spring Creek in the late 90's but it was super sweet. there were all sorts of different races including 7 card stud where you got two cards to start with and then one for every 1k lap you did. they were pretty popular and I could see a draw from Jackson skiers since there are not tracks in the area with the capability of night races. This could also raise some moolah to pay for the lights.
